teaching mentorship

Mentorship sessions are intentional in their formation, and designed specifically for yoga teachers and movement educators. Whether a seasoned teacher or fresh out of a teacher training program, a mentorship program will help refine your skill set and transform your potential.

Presently, we have three mentors available for mentorship sessions. Each instructor is unique in their gifts and talents. We sugar gest taking a class from your mentor to ensure that they are the right fit for your growth, and that you are aligned on the same page. establish your teaching voice and rhythm
create goals and find your niche
how to sequence a class
teaching methodology and in egration
refine your skills (and focus on your gifts)
creating space for your students
receive honest and constructive feedback

PRACTICE:
Take classes with your mentor (class passes are included with cost of mentorship)

OBSERVE:
Sit in on and observe some of your mentor’s public yoga classes. We truly believe in this process of reflection on WHY something is being taught and HOW it is implemented. Each teacher has their own method and arc to class.

CONNECT:
Meet with your mentor one-on-one for the duration for the sessions

REFLECT:
You are required to take responsibility for your own learning. Through this process, your mentor will distribute resources and homework on an individualized basis, curated for your path as a teacher. These resources are provided for you to learn from, and absorb. Each mentor may have required reading, practices, and sadhanas.

TEACH:
You will teach classes that are open to the public. Class will be observed my your mentor, from which you will be given supportive, constructive, and evolutionary feedback.

Requirements:

  1. Teach ONE public yoga classes at {be} that are open to the public.

  2. Meet with your mentor FIVE times during the duration of this program.

  3. Take a minimum for FIVE classes from your mentor. Be mindful that you are able to attend the class times that your ideal mentor offers. (A class package is included in this investment.)

  4. Complete homework, reflections, journal entries, and any other work your mentor requires. This is to be assessed by your mentor on an individual basis. All work is curated specifically for you to grow as a teacher.

11 - 16 hours of study available as CE credits.

Requirements:

  • Teach TWO public yoga classes at {be} that are open to the public.

  • Meet with your mentor TEN times during the duration of this program.

  • Take a minimum for TEN classes from your mentor. Be mindful that you are able to attend the class times that your ideal mentor offers. (A class package is included in this investment.)

  • Complete homework, reflections, journal entries, and any other work your mentor requires. This is to be assessed by your mentor on an individual basis. All work is curated specifically for you to grow as a teacher.

22 - 27 hours of study available as CE credits.

Thes programs can be complete in as little as one month, and as much as six months.
The time frame is entirely dependent on the mentor/mentee schedule, and will be discussed in the first meeting together.
