The Shadow is a vast term that is used to describe the aspects of ourselves that are “hidden” or unseen. Oftentimes, the shadow expresses itself as habitual patterns that are disruptive or destructive in nature. It is a part of the self that has oftentimes been shamed or repressed into submission, but ultimately wants to be heard, seen and held.

Once we explore the message behind the shadow and allow it to express itself in a way that is healthy and intention, we often find power that we never knew we had. This liberating force is often felt in the forms of increased self worth, feelings of gratitude and a sense of hope and peace. Exploring your shadow can lead to greater authenticity, creativity, energy and personal awakening.

Deconstruct and discover the mechanics of downward facing dog. Down dog is one of the most practiced poses inside of a flow class, but for many students, it never feels quite right.

Using techniques that stem from other movement modalities and strength based techniques, this workshop will breakdown the necessary components of downward facing dog so that it feels better, stronger, and sturdier.

Yoga Lab is for everyone- from those who feel they need a "tune up" to new practitioners. This workshop will be part discussion and part movement practice.

We'll discuss & move into:
why overhead range of motion is important
the movement of the shoulder blades
maintaining healthy wrists while weight bearing
modifications for common limitations
use of props for enhanced sensory feedback for motor output.

Join us in a 90-minute journey home to your SELF. Navigate the layers of your Being as we travel through the koshas and the akashic field and explore the experience of the most sacred internal wisdom, that “we live not by the breath that flows in and flows out, but by [the One] who causes the breath to flow in and flow out” (Katha Upanishad). Practice knowing the knower, creating the dream.

We need this connection now more than ever. The way out of the madness of the modern world is to journey in. Yoga nidra is one of those ways in, one of those keys that can unlock a great many doors.

Yoga nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. It is a threshold state of psychic sleep between the conscious and subconscious.

In addition, our 90-minutes together will include pre- and post-practices of kriyas, asanas, pranayama, mudras, chanting, self-massage and tapping.
